100 x 100 fanfic challenge

The rules of the 100x100 challenge are simple: Write a 100-word story using one of the prompts below about one, or both of, Meredith and Derek and post it as a comment. Prompts can only be used once.

The challenge, of course, is writing a story in 100 words. I'll update the table with links as prompts are used.

Feel free to comment on other entries, but try to remember to keep it in the appropriate thread.

Faith

He told her once to take the rest on faith.

It didn't work so well for her then, never really has.

She thought, after that notable disaster, that she would never take anything on faith again. That choosing faith over evidence was a stupid, stupid thing to do.

And it is. It's a fundamentally stupid decision.

But as she stands there next to him, his hand clutching hers, she knows that the only way to live an extraordinary life is to occasionally choose stupid, to take on faith that this time he won't break his vows. And neither will she.

I love this. You know I get giddy at the idea of a MerDer wedding, and I think this was really in character with all the repetition of words. Very Meredith.
